Wine Models in Monterey

October 2009

Pat and I had another great trip to Monterey that also involved our debuts as wine models for Scheid Winery! On the day before we left, Pat spotted this ad in the local tourist magazine, Monterey Land and See (p. 61 in the online version). We were shocked to see that our visit to the winery from the previous year was not only photographed, but used in an ad. I have to say, I consider "wine model" to be my most interesting gig by far!

A favorite restaurant (with eccentric hostess lady) is the Fishwife in Pacific Grove:

Another favorite place: Highlands Inn in Carmel. The breakfast terrace has the best view on the planet! This was a very sunny morning...

The front entry of the Highlands Inn had a nice fall display...

OK, we love the local fare - this is Passionfish in Pacific Grove:

View of harbor seals from the sidewalk around Monterey Bay:

Dolphin fountain at Monterey Plaza Hotel:

Casanova's Restaurant in Carmel - wonderful French cuisine!

A visit to the Monterey Bay Aquarium involved several hundred attempts (by me) to get a decent photograph! Here is Pat trying to get a photo of the jellyfish:
